Raaha (n. /ˈraː.ħa/)

A state of utter tranquility brought upon by hearing a moving recitation of the Quran, a captivating call for prayer or a heartfelt song glorifying God and praising His Beloved Messenger, the final Prophet, our Liegelord and Master, Muhammad, upon him be blessings and peace always.

Mission

Raaha aims to increase music literacy among Muslims by teaching traditional music theory and its application to the vocal arts of Islam—namely, reciting the Quran, performing the call to prayer, and singing mystical odes (qasidas) accompanied only by the daff or frame drum.
